If you are a parent living in the United States, you already know that having kids is expensive. The bottles, the healthcare, the toys...it all adds up. Out of all the new additions to the family budget, there’s one price tag that makes even well-off parents do a double-take: childcare. It’s true. How expensive childcare can be is a real shocker to new parents. The days of being able to pay a sitter $10 per hour are long gone. The average cost of daycare in America now stands at a jaw-dropping $11,666 per year, with prices for newborns and toddlers being even higher. However, it wasn’t always this way. Through the years, numerous factors have led to the rise in childcare costs. There is no one cost. Whether it's the staff salaries, the maintenance of the buildings, the licenses to run the facility itself, so many things have led to more expensive childcare all across the country. Be sure to SHARE these factors with other parents on why prices continue to climb to help bring about the change that is needed.
